Our Mission
The Wild Beauty Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting wild horses, wolves, and wildlife, and to connecting people of all ages with the importance of preserving the natural world.
We use the power of storytelling to spark awareness and action, creating films, educational programs, advocacy campaigns, and rescue efforts that shine a light on the challenges these animals face. Our goal is to inform, inspire, and empower the next generation of advocates to protect all things wild.

Our Story
The Wild Beauty Foundation was founded by filmmakers Ashley Avis and Edward Winters following the release of their feature film Black Beauty for Disney. Inspired by the original message of Anna Sewell to give a voice to the voiceless, they launched WBF to carry that legacy forward into the modern world.
The foundation’s work grew even further with the release of the critically acclaimed documentary Wild Beauty: Mustang Spirit of the West, which brought national attention to the plight of wild horses and was featured in TIME, Rolling Stone, Deadline, and more.
Today, WBF continues to raise awareness through film, education, advocacy, and rescue, with the goal of protecting wild horses, wolves, and the natural world for generations to come.
How To Help
Your voice can create change. At The Wild Beauty Foundation, we believe change starts with a single voice, and that voice can be yours.
From the ongoing roundups of wild horses, the breaking apart of equine families, the slaughter of equines of all kinds, to the persecution of wolves, these injustices won’t end unless we speak out together.
Whether you’re a young person passionate about animals, or an adult ready to advocate for stronger laws and protections, there’s a place for you in this movement.
